EGG-stravaganza

We are pleased to announce our upcoming gallery show titled “EGG-stravaganza”. This show will feature approximately 50 all new, never before exhibited, photographs. The theme of the show is obviously about eggs. Cathy and I have been photographing eggs for the past year (and we still have a few to go) in preparation for the show. Eggs have an almost mystical place in most cultures and we wanted to explore this simple but interesting subject. The photographs are a study of shape, shadow, light and texture. We have also included a number of “whimsical” photos just for fun.

What makes this show even more exciting is that we will also be exhibiting, for the first time anywhere, my mother’s egg art collection. For 20 years my mother, Shirley, created the most exquisite art works from real eggs. Using everything from a robin’s egg to an ostrich egg she fabricated works of art to rival the famous Faberge eggs of 19th century Russia. To learn more about her work check out this video on YouTube. We also have a free eBook of her work available on our website.

Our show runs from April 3 to 27 at the aRt Cottage in Concord. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 6th from 2 to 5 pm. Please join us for this interesting show. You won’t be disappointed.

New Gallery Show

Cathy and I are very pleased to announce our latest gallery show. We will be showing our Environments series at the Gallery on 2nd, in Brentwood. We have 43 of our prints from Africa, Churchill, Yellowstone and the Southwest on display in this 1500 sq.ft. gallery. In addition, Cindy Williamson will be exhibiting her unique ceramic animal sculptures.

This show is very important to us, it that, it is the first time that we will be presenting our One World project. The purpose of our One World project is to use our photographs to interest people in understanding the inter-relatedness of the different environments on the planet and how we are affecting them. We will be giving a talk at the gallery on Wednesday, January 9th about this work.

The show open on January 9th and continues through February 9th. The Artist's Reception will be on Saturday, January 12th, from 4 to 7 pm. This is our biggest and best show ever. Please join us!
